TREATMENT

A day in the life from creation to disposal

Sewer can come from many sources in a Municipal Wastewater Treatment System. It can start out as Domestic waste from residential households such as sinks, garbage disposals and toilets. It can come from Commercial business and may include restaurant waste, commercial cleaning solutions and toiletries. Lastly it can come from industrial waste such as meat packing plants, food processing plants, or in our case government agencies.

JOINT WASTEWATER ADVISORY GROUP

Since 2014

The McCall Area Joint Wastewater Advisory Group was established in August 2014 pursuant to Idaho Code 50-210 to advise and make recommendations to the McCall City Council and Payette Lakes Recreational Water and Sewer District (PLRWSD) Board on matters pertaining to the collaborative operations, management, and consolidation of wastewater services.

OVERVIEW

On May 16th a Wastewater ballot proposal will be presented in questions tailored to voters based on property location and eligibility that voters can either endorse or reject.

The May 16th proposal for annexation or consolidation between City of McCall and Payette Lakes Recreational Water and Sewer District would combine current City sewer customers with the current PLRWSD customers while at the same time ask voters to approve a $22.07 million bond that would fund necessary upgrades to the reuse water disposal system to implement the new Reuse Permit from Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ), improvements to the wastewater treatment plant, the acquisition of the system assets and the retirement of existing debts.

This website will soon give voters easy access to
voting criteria and the ballot questions as they apply to them.
